The Miami World Center CDD encompasses an area of approximately 23.934 acres of residential and commercial development within the municipal limits of the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida in an area bounded by NE 2 Avenue on the east, NE 6 Street on the south, North Miami Avenue on the west and NE 11 Street on the north.

The development plan for the Miami World Center CDD includes construction of condo units, apartment units, retail space and hotel rooms with associated roadway improvements, waste water collection system, water distribution system, storm water management, mass-transit facilities, landscaping/open space, lighting and signage.

A Community Development District (CDD) provides the 'solution' to Florida's need to provide valuable community infrastructure generated by growth, ultimately without overburdening other governments and their taxpaying residents. CDDs represent a major advancement in Florida's effort to manage its growth effectively and efficiently. This allows a community to establish higher construction standards, meanwhile providing a long-term solution to the operation and maintenance of the community's facilities.
